On April 8^th, HTC 650MW nuclear steam turbine for Qinshan-II Unit #4 was put into operation 60 days in advance. Qinshan Nuclear Phase II Project (i.e. Unit #3 &4) is the first nuclear project in “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”. HTC 650MW nuclear steam turbine won high appraisal from users, such as excellent performance, high automation level and high quality.

 

In 2003, HTC signed the supply contract for 2 x 650MW nuclear steam turbines, i.e. Unit #3 & #4 of Qinshan Phase II Project; in 2004, conducted technical preparation for localization; in 2005-2006, began to manufacture the two units. Despite 30000MW annual task is beyond the production capacity, HTC managed prior delivery of these two units. Unit #3 was put into operation in February, 2011, 180 days prior to the scheduled date. During 1 year of continuous operation at full load before the first overhaul, it achieved 680MW full power in winter, reduced the electricity price to RMB 0.39/kwh, less than some imported nuclear power units (RMB 0.44/kwh), and created considerable economic and social benefits.
